The ideal time to visit is from October to March. The weather is pleasant and perfect for exploring temples and beaches. Summers (April to June) can be quite humid and hot.
Entry into the inner sanctum of the Jagannath Temple is restricted to Hindus only. However, others can enjoy a great view of the temple complex from the rooftop of the nearby Raghunandan Library.
